It is here where ‘’Every Child Is Special’’! My life is threefold; not only am I an educator in Early
Childhood Education, I am a wife and mother of two beautiful children. My husband,
Charles E. Stevens, is one of Memphis finest, who protects and serve (MPD).

After becoming a graduate of ‘’White Station High Schoo’’l, I continued my higher learning as a
Medical Intern at Methodist Hospital (Memphis). Eventually, I realized and accepted the fact that God
had another calling for me -—- to work with young children. In 1997, I began my career in Early
Childhood Education at Merry Land Daycare. This brief employment was my inspiration to step out on
faith and establish my very own daycare business.

My initial step to establish became a reality, when I received my CDA (Child Development Associate)
credentials. I have twenty + (20) years in working with young children. In addition to all of my
accomplishments and accolades, I am currently an active member in the following associations:

• NAEYC—— National Association for the Education of Young Children

• TAEYC—— Tennessee Association for the Education of Young Children

• SECA——— Southern Early Childhood Association

• MAEYC—— Memphis Association for the Education of Young Children

• CPR————- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (Certified in Adult, Child, and Infant CPR

• CDA————- Child Development Associate Credential in (Washington, D. C.)
