Welcome to Sycamore Hills Elementary, home of the Cougars. What a wonderful place for your childs education! We are an award-winning school for grades preschool through fifth, with a staff that puts our students first.
Sycamore Hills is unique in the fact that we focus on the special needs of students through an early childhood special education program and a life skills class with the support of occupational, physical and speech therapists. We also assist with before- and after-school care with our Kids Safari program.
Our school is a learning community that challenges students in an environment where teachers, parents and the community work together to ensure academic and personal excellence. Our goal is to help students become creative thinkers, problem solvers and lifelong learners.
We encourage our students to be responsible citizens and practice the life skills of patience, cooperation, self-worth and respect.
In addition, our school enjoys such programs as YouthFriends, Book Buddies, BIST and DARE.
Our school enjoys an active and supportive PTA that plays an important role in our school community. Some activities are Parents and Pastries, Grandparents Day, field trips, Reflections Contest, Book Fair, Reading is Fundamental, Extreme Reading, Grandparents and Grub, all-school picnics and more.
