Huskies After-School is an after-school enrichment program offered at Animas Valley Elementary School. The program begins immediately after school ends and children can be picked up in the cafeteria at any time before 6pm. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required and the necessary paperwork can be picked up in the front office of the school at anytime.

There really is never a boring day at Huskies After-School. Students arrive in the cafeteria immediately after the bell rings and receive a small snack and drink. Afterwards, students can work on their homework and receive some tutoring if needed. Children are allowed to enjoy any of the games, toys, and activities that are available in the cafeteria. In addition, we often conduct science experiments, create art projects, or other educational activities. At least a few times a week, the students are led to the gym where they get to play collaboratively, practice on the climbing wall, shoot hoops, or just run around. Depending on the weather, the students get to spend some time in the playground running around and playing games.
