High Point Academy uses academically challenging, research-based curriculum and teaching methods that result in high student achievement.

The Core Knowledge Sequence specifically outlines which skills and content areas must be mastered in every subject for each grade, which avoids repetition and gaps.

The Direct Instruction Reading program is strong in phonics and is highly scripted to ensure that our students learn how to read in terms of decoding words and comprehending what they have read.

We use Performance Based Instruction in reading, language arts, and math, which means that students are assessed frequently and instruction is targeted to their needs.

We strongly emphasize math, science and technology .

We prioritize student health with a focus on physical education and wellness.

We incorporate character education and service learning programs to ensure that our students become caring and responsible citizens.
