Good News Christian Preschool is an outreach of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. The preschool is designed to offer quality programs in a loving Christian environment. Our certified teachers and experienced staff are dedicated to providing quality care for your child in a pleasant and stimulating environment. Our programs emphasize the development of your child’s self-confidence and self-esteem. Small group sizes ensure each child is treated as a unique individual. Good News Christian Preschool is a state certified learning center, offering a full range of hands-on academic programs. The school program is brimming with exciting activities, field trips and special crafts. Good News offers two, three and five day programs for three- and four-year olds, as well as Extended Care and lunch. The bright, cheerful facility in the bayfront community of Keyport is designed to provide your child with a safe and enjoyable environment where he or she can learn and grow.

A preschool-aged child needs to learn
How to be a friend: to care about others, share toys, take turns, tell the truth, be kind, know that they are special and to settle their own arguments.
How to do things by themselves: wash and dry their hands, dress and undress themselves, pick up and put away their toys.
How to communicate: they often talk just to talk, tell you what they need and want, use new words, and speak clearly enough for others to understand.
Experience lots of fun and a variety of things: playing with messy stuff, singing, dancing, pretending, building things with blocks, using crayons and scissors, listening to stories in a group, show and tell, and – most important to be accepted, loved and respected for who they are.
At Good News Christian Preschool, it is our goal to establish an environment that furnishes our students all of these necessary and important skills and experiences of early childhood.
