The staff and directors of the agency believe that children learn through their play and that process has more importance than product. We believe that a safe, stimulating environment provides the best climate for learning to take place. Through classroom arrangement and teacher interaction, girls and boys are given repeated opportunities to discover, explore, take risks, make mistakes safely and solve problems. This approach helps them gain independence, self-reliance and feelings of self-worth.

Our developmental philosophy stresses ideas of non-violence, cooperation, and verbal problem solving. Throughout their time in our program, girls and boys acquire responsible and caring attitudes toward themselves, each other and the community.
