The center has been established since 2004 and is located on the northeast side of Columbus, Georgia. GKCC provides quality care for ages 6 weeks to 12 years old without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or political affilliation.
GKCC’s philosophy is “Education and Learning with Boundaries not Barriers”. Our main focus will be to encourage children to use their creative minds to grow, develop, learn, solve situations and play well with others. In addition, programs will be implemented to teach children to respect others, value personality differences and appreciate various cultures.
GKCC uses various curriculums to help children grow and learn in the five areas of development:
1. Cognitive: Ability to think, reason and learn
2. Language: Skills to listen and speak
3. Physical: Activities promoting muscle movement
4. Emotional: Considerations towards the child’s feelings
5. Social: Development of getting along with others
