The mission statement of the FVTC Parent Child Center is to: ? Provide high-quality care and education for the young children (ages 6 weeks to 6 years; and up to 11 years in the summer) of students and staff at FVTC. Remaining slots after student and staff needs are met are then open to the surrounding community. ? Serve as a model lab site and as mentors to students in the Early Childhood Education program; and ? Be a supportive, nurturing place where children, parents, staff and students can continue to grow in positive ways.

At the Parent Child Center, we utilize The Creative Curriculum in all classrooms. This curriculum helps teachers plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program that promotes children’s social-emotional development and learning in the core areas of literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies.

With The Creative Curriculum, our program has developed a complete system that promotes positive outcomes for all children, including English-language learners, children with disabilities, and advanced learners.
