First United Methodist Weekday

First United Methodist Church Weekday School (most commonly known as “WDS”) is a Preschool Readiness Program for Children 24 months to 5 years of age. The Weekday School is a Ministry of the First United Methodist Church planned to provide individual and group creativity, learning experiences and to promote a positive self-esteem for each child.

We start our school year around the last week of August with a Parent-Teacher Night. The next week our students come for a half days of “Getting to Know You Week”, WDS then follows the Maury County School System Calendar.

Our thematic curriculum which is a flexible readiness program geared to prepare the child to move from home environment to the regular classroom. This includes free creative play, stories, readiness learning, and arts and crafts. Weekday School is focused on social development and positive self-esteem.
