Fairview Elementary Pre-kindergarten

1. Student learning is the chief priority of the school. A standards-based curriculum, research based instruction, and authentic, on-going assessment will provide the structure for student learning.

4. Knowing the children we teach is as important as knowing the curriculum we teach. children learn more when we know them individually, culturally, and developmentally and gear their learning to individual needs and styles.

5. All members of the learning community have the right to a safe, mutually respectful, and productive learning environment.

6. Education is the cooperative responsibility of parents, students, educators, and members of the community. Involvement of all stakeholders in shared decision making is critical to educational success.
