Eastern Hills Community Church Preschool

First and foremost, we are a Christian preschool. The children will learn about Gods care for them and Jesus love for them. In addition, we want children to develop a good foundation for learning and an awareness and interest in the world around them.

We believe that children learn best through play. Children use play to master new skills. We provide opportunities for the children to learn by teacher directed activities and child led activities. We recognize that children develop and grow at their own pace and in their own way. Teachers treat each child as an individual and developmental differences are celebrated! We want children to grow up with a good self-image, a feeling of independence and strength, and a good understanding of themselves and the world they are a part of. We also want them to experience positive relationships with their teachers and their peers, to have the ability to get along with others, as well as, find peaceful solutions to conflicts.

We view our program as an extension of home. We believe that parents are their childs primary teacher. We desire to partner with parents to provide children with a sense of connectedness between home and school. Monthly newsletters are sent home to keep parents informed of what is happening in our school and classrooms. We offer fall and spring Parent/Teacher conferences and promote an Open Door policy within our school. Parents are always welcome to come and talk with us, at anytime, regarding their child, the program, or any concerns they may have. In addition, there are many opportunities for parents to volunteer in our program, whether in the classroom, on a field trip or on a parent board.

Finally, all of our teachers are well trained through education, past experience and continuing education classes, in order to provide the highest quality of care and learning experiences for your child. In addition, all of our staff have undergone background investigations, fingerprinting with local authorities and are CPR and First Aid trained.

We firmly believe we offer a program in which we do what is best for children! We love what we do and feel that an experience in any of the programs at EHCC Preschool will be a very positive one for your child!
