The Springboard program was created to help build balance and support into the lives of the children who attend Springboard. We create this balance by utilizing a three-tiered structure, one made up of time for academics, enrichment and recreation.

Academics: Each child has at least one academic block during the Springboard After School day. Springboard ensures that your child understands his/her homework so that he/she does not fall behind. During the academic period, your child will work in a low ratio group with a certified teacher who will help your child by providing immediate attention to his or her questions. Once the homework block is complete, your child will have the choice to move on to another activity or stay for a second block to continue any incomplete work or move on to extra Springboard Study Skills.

Enrichment: All of the Springboard locations provide various enrichment programs or activities. The enrichment portion of the day is meant to provide your child with a structured activity that will challenge your child’s knowledge. In the past, we have provided additional enrichment programs such as chess, technology, art, karate, drama, dance, american sign language, robotics, design, music, p.e., creative writing and more. These enrichment programs vary per site. Please check in with your area director or site coordinator to see your specific enrichment programs.

Recreational Time: Before your child leaves for the day, we want him/her to kick back and relax. This is a crucial part of why children love coming to Springboard. Not only do they get their work done, but they have fun, too.
