Dacula Academy serves families with children ranging from 6 weeks to 13 years of age. Our center hours are 6:00am until 6:30pm Monday through Friday. Tim and Janna Rookis opened this child development center in 1999. Their goal is to work with young children and their families in the community by providing a nurturing environment which will focus on socio-emotional, cognitive and physical development; essential for Elementary School Preschool readiness. We will nuture each childs unique qualities and potential while supporting families through strong partnerships.
At DACULA ACADEMY, we help each young child get a strong foundation for learning and growth by responding to their individual needs and interests.
On December 1, 2005, Dacula Academy earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). www.naeyc.org.
On May 18, 2007, Dacula Academy earned their accreditation from the National After School Association (NAA). www.naaweb.org
On October 1, 2007, Dacula Academy earned their CENTER OF DISTINCTION recognition from Bright from the Start Child Care Licensing Agency. www.decal.state.ga.us
On October 12, 2007 Janna Rookis received recognition as Care Giver of the year by The Georgia Association of Young Children (GAYC). www.gayconline.org.
Dacula Academy is currently the only center in the state of Georgia holding these accreditations simultaneously. We strive hard to maintain the high quality of standards our children, parents and staff have come to expect.
