My name is Diana Caldwell. My husband and I have owned and operated the Cultural Enrichment Academy, Inc. (CEA) since 2006. However, the initial inception of owning and operating a daycare occurred years earlier as we searched for the ideal facility for our grandson in 1992. With this ideal in mind, we have attempted to establish a daycare which contains many of the qualities we wished for him during his daycare days.
My experience working with children began in 1977 as a child care specialist with Army Community Services in Wiesbaden, Germany. While working with this program, I developed a genuine interest in the early development of young children. Additional educational and professional experiences have been in social work (BS, 1986) and counseling (MS, 1991). My most recent accomplishment has been the acquisition of the Child Development Associate Credential in December 2009 and a two-year member of NAFCC. My future goal is to obtain accreditation from NAEYC.

Our early learning philosophy embraces the belief that every child is gifted or has a special intelligence in one or more developmental areas. Through our cultural arts curriculum, we hope to help your child expose and unfold hers/his gifts or intelligences. The cultural arts curriculum consists of academic arts, visual arts, performing arts, and personal arts with the various American cultural groups as a learning backdrop. As a child sees his/her culture as the center of their learning, self-esteem, self-confidence, and early learning success is the result!
