My name is Lynnette Ryman, and I would like to take this time to introduce myself as the new Director of Childcare Network. Three years ago, my three children and I moved to Southport from Northeastern Pennsylvania. Since moving to the area, I have worked for a Montessori school and have substituted in the elementary schools in Brunswick County.

Here at Childcare Network #85 our teachers and staff are dedicated to providing a foundation for lifelong learning through the use of a structured curriculum, enhanced with artistic expressions. The vision for our school is to provide children with a learning environment rich in art. Art education strengthens problem-solving and critical thinking skills, while playing a key role in cognitive, motor, language, and social-emotional development. From the use of finger-paint in the Infant-Toddler classrooms to the representation of free art in our Young Achievers Club; all children are encouraged to use art as a way to voice their feelings. Making the transition into Kindergarten a smooth one for the children and their families is a priority for us. Our school has a special pre-k program called Kindergarten Prep Academy (KPA) that prepares children who are between the ages of 4-5 for the upcoming kindergarten school year. The program is a year-round program that utilizes the HighReach Learning curriculum, along with a unique balance of standard-based classroom support materials and family connection components. We all take great pride in being so much more than just a day care. Our staff consists of teachers with high levels of education that continue to take trainings to assist with current educational tools. We are affordable and work with every family to meet their needs making us unlike any other child care provider in this area.
