Welcome to our fabulous preschool in Durham, where we have the best teachers, parents, and children in the area! My name is Ada, the school director. I have my Bachelor-s degree in Child Development and have worked with Childcare Network for over 9 years.

We are so proud to be rated 5 STARS by the NC Division of Child Development. Our primary focus here along with our daily curriculum, is the Arts. We use the philosophy on which arts are founded in our classrooms every day along with our structured curriculum. Children learn and understand how the unity of the mind and body attributes to the needs of our society. We also concentrate on extending and expanding our shared visual language with dance, martial arts, and drama instruction. Our goal is to expose every child to the various disciplines of art and to help them realize his or her capabilities in any and all areas.

Our Kindergarten Prep Academy (kindergarten readiness program) operates on a full day, full year schedule for children ages 4-5 years old. Our pre-k curriculum through HighReach Learning provides a unique balance of standards-based on classroom support materials. Family connection components are easy to understand, and our parents look forward to their end of the year ceremony which is celebrated with our families, friends and community supporters.

We also offer several NC Pre-K classrooms that operate on a 6 _ hour day with the options of wrap around care. Our NC Pre-K Creative Curriculum provides an intentional natural learning environment through hands-on approaches. Family involvement is welcome and encouraged on a daily basis. During the school year families are involved in many multicultural events and activities. Community events are also held at our school and within each classroom.

Adventure Summer Campers explore different themes weekly to include Under the Sea and Eat Smart! Play Hard. Our campers investigate science experiments, arts, crafts and music. The campers take weekly educational field trips to the museum, park, and art center. Along with all the fun and excitement, we encourage reading in our Read to Succeed program to continue the development of their literacy skills through the summer months.

How do we keep these little minds going working hard and learning all day? We prepare onsite breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack to keep the children energized. The fun and excitement never ends at our school!

It is my pleasure to be able to work daily with great teachers and have the opportunity to impact so many children and their families. Our staff take great pride in knowing we are so much more than a daycare in the community. Childcare Network provides the educational foundation for each child to be successful throughout life with quality curriculum and programs for children from infant to school age. We are affordable and work with every family to meet their needs making us unlike any other child care provider in this area.
