The Lamont Doherty Child Development Center is located on the campus of Columbia University’s extension site in Palisades NY on over 250 acres of amazing land. The children are able to play outside on one of our three playgrounds go on nature walks and even go see the animals on the farm down the pathway. At the center we strive to give the best care for your child each and everyday. We have children from ages infants to five years old that attend the program. The curriculum we use is Bright Horizons’ World at Their Fingertips. Each classroom is lead by a dynamic team of teachers that will reach your child’s needs and help them grow. We recognize how each step of a child’s learning process is important we strive to develop and enhance the Bright Horizons’ curriculum to meet that need. All children are encouraged to explore different cultures through a variety of books music and diverse learning materials. Children are introduced to caring for others through Toward a Better World. The Well Aware component of our curriculum helps children develop an awareness of the importance of healthy living; including movement good health habits and nutrition.
