Malden YWCA After School Day Care

YWCA Malden’s school-aged child care program is housed at 54 Washington Street. We have provided a safe and reliable community oriented child care program since 1978. Servicing children ages 6-11 years old, we offer a warm and creative home-like environment that fosters social skills, learning and self acceptance. Open to boys and girl,s we are licensed by the Office of Child Care Services. We offer a sliding fee, voucher and private rates.

The YWCA School Age Childcare program is proud to be a participant in the HEAT Club. It is an after-school curriculum that aims to improve eating habits and increase physical activity among school age children. The HEAT Club after school curriculum has been scientifically tested and evaluated and has been successful in other communities. By participating, the YWCA Malden has the opportunity to play an important role in helping children develop healthy behaviors for life. The curriculum is aimed at four major key points that encourage children to; 1) Increase consumption of fruit, vegetables, low fat dairy, and whole grains 2) Decrease consumption of foods that are high in saturated fat and/or sugar 3) Increase physical activity and 4) Decrease screen time(less television, video and computer).
