Spindlewood Waldorf Kindergarten & Lifeways Centers

The Kindergarten is a place where children acquire the essential foundations for later life. The curriculum includes free creative play, movement, language, sensory experiences, rhythmic-musical-artistic activities, a playful exploration of nature whether in our woods or stream, in the garden or with our animals. Children also assist with snack preparation. These elements provide a foundation for elementary school learning in such areas as mathematical-scientific thinking, literacy and linguistic capacity, artistic ability and media competency. In addition, the activities develop authenticity, independence, ethical values, social awareness, resilience, and health.
