Desired Traits of a Lakeview Academy Student: Through the personal development and academic excellence of a Lakeview education, sixteen desired traits are instilled in a Lakeview graduate. The traits include: articulate, civic-minded, confident, cooperative, courageous, creative, curious, determined, disciplined, healthy, honorable, independent, kind, open-minded, resourceful, and respectful.

Honor Code: The goal of Lakeview Academy’s Honor Code is to live as trustworthy people in an honorable community. Students assume the responsibility of teaching the Honor Code, living by it, and enforcing it. The Honor Code states that Lakeview students will not lie, cheat, or steal, or approve of those who do.

Motto, Mascot, Crest and Colors: The motto of Lakeview Academy is Veritas et Virtus – Truth and Courage. The Lakeview mascot is the lion, which symbolizes courage, pride, and strength. The crest also incorporates lions who hold the shield. The symbols on the shield represent the ideals of the school, academics, wisdom, athletics, and belief in God. The colors blue and orange symbolize the lake and sunrise.
