The staff has been carefully selected to ensure that the goals of the center will be met. The teachers are certified in CPR and first aid. They have experience in childcare. Teachers receive frequent feedback regarding quality instruction, safety, and hygiene from Dr. Brundage. Professional development is at the cornerstone of Literacy Link Learning Center. Dr. Brundage believes that teachers must be trained frequently by highly skilled experts in order to stay abreast of best practices. Teachers must meet their annual hours and must utilize the strategies modeled and suggested by Dr. Brundage.

Our curriculum consists of many things to enhance education. This is because there is no one best approach which will fit the needs of all children. Early learning standards are used for the students. We support our school age students by using the standards from the Georgia Department of Education. Our program contains the following components:

  • Creative development
  • Social and emotional development
  • Literacy and language development
  • Increasing independence and hygiene

Our pre-k students are immersed in hands-on experiences which develop math, sciene and social studies skills as well. We believe in lots of interaction and continuous feedback. We use several educational games to help our students learn concepts in numerous formats. Additionally, the students must work on the approved websites that are posted daily in the mornings. The websites focus on academic development in kid-friendly formats. Students may select developmentally appropriate websites in the afternoons.
