Wellmont Child Development Center

In 1999, YWCA Bristol partnered with Wellmont Health System to operate the Wellmont Child Development Center on the campus of the Bristol Regional Medical Center. It was designed to serve the children of Wellmont healthcare workers, however, additional openings are often available to parents in need of extended-hour child care within our community.

The Wellmont Child Development Center offers many features including:

-Extended hours of operation: Monday Friday, 6:30 a.m. 7:30 p.m.
-Serves children ages 6-weeks to Pre-K, 5 days per week, year round.
-Care for children up to 12 years of age during school breaks
-Three-Star Rating in TNs Star Quality Childcare program
-Secure facility with video monitoring
-Curriculum-based pre-K program to prepare children for kindergarten
-Age-appropriate outdoor play areas
-Nutritious breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and evening meal served to children 12 months of age and above.
-Classroom computers
