The Richer Elementary School is located on the west side of Marlborough near the Northborough line.
It is a comprehensive child-centered kindergarten through grade 3 school enrolling approximately 450 students.
Instruction is focused around standards-based core curriculum aligned to state frameworks, including balanced literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies.
We promote intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and aesthetic growth for all.
Richer School provides a full array of therapies and special education services including specific academic help, speech, occupational and physical therapy.
An intensive ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis Program) and an Adaptive Resource Room for the multi-handicapped children.
Full day kindergarten is available on a tuition basis.
Art, music, health /wellness / physical education, library/media and technology experiences are also provided to all students to enrich student learning experiences.
Educational after-school opportunities are available for students.
Classroom computers provide internet access, and a PC lab with 25 stations and Smartboard technology is available.
Richer School implements a 3-phase model of servicing ELL (English Language Learners) students following guidelines of the Department of Education.
Our kindergarten holds NAEYC accreditation.
Richer School has received grant funding from Adopt a Classroom, Cold Water Creek, BJs Wholesale and Marlborough Education Foundation.
Title I funds provide additional reading support to the students of Richer School. This program assists the classroom teachers in delivering service to at-risk students.
An active PTO who work together with teachers and staff to provide exciting and educational extras that are not provided for in the school budget.
Students have the use of a large playing field and a state of the art playground.
Member of Massachusetts Elementary Central Alliance (MECA), an alliance of elementary schools committed to providing low cost professional development opportunities to staff..
