Welcome to the Gainesville City YMCA Afterschool Program! The Gainesville City YMCA Afterschool Program is aimed at serving special populations, outreach, families and students in the areas of:
1.Leadership Development
2.Social Services
3.Parenting Programs
4.Youth & Teen Development
5.Education
Currently we seek to enhance the academic performance of students in reading, language arts and mathematics, decrease grade level retention rates and involve parents more fully in the educational life of their children and their own education.
We hope to produce these results by providing a safe, orderly, academically oriented, pleasurable and balance afterschool program to students, by providing a family oriented series of social-educational events for students and their parents and by providing students with experiences that develop their academic competence and inner strength, increase self confidence, self worth, leadership potential and develop both interpersonal and communication skills of the studens.

The Kids’ Time Afterschool Programs seek to enhance the academic performance of students in reading, language arts,mathematics, and overall academic enrichment. A key goal of the program is to decrease grade level retention rates and improve academic performance by encouraging parent involvement in all aspects of their child’s education. Each program operates in accordance with the Bright From the Start Licensing regulations and features structured, age appropriate activities.
