The primary goal of this center is to provide an environment that fosters the growth of the whole child in all areas of development including social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative with the ultimate result that children reach their maximum potential. Believing that children are competent, autonomous people, each child’s developmental level, needs and interests will be of utmost priority. The program model is based upon the concept that children learn through play and “hands on” experiences. They will interact with the environment, explore, experiment, and problem solve. The program will be child centered including free play, individualized, and small group teacher directed activities.3
