Preschool and Early Learning Center, we believe children are valuable, unique, natural born, curious learners. We aim to promote each child’s own individual physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development in accordance with our slogan: Growing strong bodies, strong minds, and strong friendships.

Blossoming Brilliance strives to support families by offering superior, developmentally appropriate, safe and nurturing care to children through highly qualified staff and an environment of excellence which facilitates scaffolded play and experience based learning; and in doing so, foster a child’s natural desire to explore, discover, create, and become a lifelong learner.

Curriculum at Blossoming Brilliance Preschool and Early Learning Center includes child-initiated and teacher-directed activities and experiences that support and enrich children’s development physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. Blossoming Brilliance uses a unique and cutting edge curriculum created by Nanette Davis with a focus on the Ca Preschool Foundations and Frameworks as guides for planning the curriculum in each of its programs. Each classroom has weekly lesson plans, posted in the Parent Area. These plans contain a number of activities, designed to foster each child’s development, and the development of the group as a whole. Lesson plans may be changed in order to accommodate the children’s changing interests and needs.

Classrooms are expertly set up and designed in centers, which include blocks, dramatic play, books, gross motor, fine motor, and art. Outdoor play is important to a child’s physical development and must be included in both the morning and afternoon schedule. Self- selection or “free-play” is a daily part of the curriculum and means a child has the opportunity to choose which center or activity he/she participates in. This promotes creative expression and development of important social skills. It also promotes autonomy and a strong sense of self. This self guided play is supervised, observed for curriculum ideas and scaffolded by teachers to extend the learning.
