The High Reach curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through hands-on activities that involve children engaging with people and things in their environment.
In addition, the High Reach curriculum is based on the belief that children need a balance of child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities each day. This method is grounded in sound child development theory and suitable practices. Themes are used to introduce information and learning takes place as a child discovers and handles real objects and events.
The core of the High Reach Learning curriculum philosophy is teaching and interacting with purpose using learning zones, whereby the learning zones take advantage of the back and forth interaction between teachers and children during the day.
