Community Schools has served Catawba County since 1978. In response to the needs of working parents, Kid Connection was established to offer care for school-age children during the morning and after school hours as well as teacher workdays. Our goals to serve your needs include:

To provide a quality program for school-age children in kindergarten through sixth grade. To provide care at your childs school at an affordable cost. To provide a safe, fun and enriching environment where students can learn & have fun. To provide an environment where children have the opportunity to develop the social skills necessary to become a responsible citizen.

Special Needs:

Kid Connection and SummerKids programs can provide for many special needs. However, our programs are not designed, staffed, or licensed to function as a therapeutic crisis intervention program. Any special needs information should be provided on the registration form. The parent/guardian should discuss with the site director, prior to enrollment, the specific needs of the child. There may be a time when a childs illness, behavior, or special need go beyond the scope of care that the staff can provide in a group setting, where the safety and well being of all the children in the group must be the primary consideration. At such time, a parent/guardian or other designated adult will need to be contacted and available to pick up the child. It is essential that we work together to insure that your child receives the best possible care while in a group setting.
