Write a messageHello my name is Alexis! I am 23 and a paralegal in Garden City, NY; however, I live in queens close transportation to all boroughs. I graduated last year from the University At Albany. My love and joy for children started at a very young age. Starting at 12 years old I became a student teacher at my dance studio starting with mommy and me to, toddlers, to teens, to teenagers which I continued to do until I graduated high school. I love connecting with kids and learning from them. I have great patience, creativity, and understand how important child development is, as it brings me great joy and honor to be apart of that development. I am very adaptable and can communicate well with children and their parents. My passion with child development encouraged me to incorporate it into my career path. I plan on attending law school this next spring semester to become a law guardian for children. In my last year of my undergrad studies I interned at the youth justice institute which allowed me to spend time with children ages 7-18 and help make their day better, easier, and more enjoyable for them, whether that be helping with homework, grabbing a bite to eat, playing sports, advice, taking them to appointments/extra curriculars etc. As my day to day goes, as previously mentioned, I am currently a paralegal at a law firm and am available early mornings, evenings and weekends!
