Hi, my name is Rachel. I am 37 years old. I have a 6 year old daughter. I am a retired Certified English, ESL and Special Education teacher. For the past 10 years, I taught English to children with severe disabilities in NYC schools. Since I was young, I always knew that I would do some type of work with children and people in my community. At the age of 12, I took the Girl Scouts certification class and started babysitting for a few families in my neighborhood. My pediatrician was my main client and she recommended me to many families. During the summers, I was able to work as a full-time camp counselor and babysit in the evenings. Then during college, I added tutoring to my resume. Even after I started teaching full-time, I continued to babysit, tutor, and work at camp during the summer. Now, I am retired from teaching and looking for caretaking jobs close to home. I reliable, responsible, fun, and creative. I can help your family with chores and cooking while keeping your child engaged with fun activities. I enjoy doing arts and crafts, and playing outside.
