My name is Nadira. I am a 25-year-old female. Although I do not have any children of my own, I have had the pleasure in partaking in the upbringing of my niece and nephews. Being part of their growth and development has taught me so much about myself and the joy that it is to be around children. Their minds and methods of exploring the world around them are truly a wonder and a delight to be around.

I am currently employed as a foster care caseworker at Heartshare St. Vincents Services. My role involves carrying a caseload of children of all varying ages and working to ensure their safety and well-being while being in foster care. My responsibilities include conducting interviews with foster children to assess their emotional and mental well-being, conduct body checks, assist in obtaining tools for their development (ex: speech therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, play therapy, mental health services, early intervention, etc.). I also work closely with these providers to monitor the progression of each child on my caseload. Many of my skills include being able to feed/change a child, burping, maintaining a childs sleep schedule, play for long periods of time, de-escalating a tantrum, and exploring new hobbies/activities. I firmly believe that children are creatures of routine but also need a safe space for exploring the world around them and who they are within their perceived world. I am very excited to be part of your childs journey and development!
