Why do you love being a sitter?

Hi, my name is Marieva Gutierrez, Im 20 years old, and I love working with kids. Ive always enjoyed being around them and even considered going into a career centered around children before deciding to pursue business at UTD. I love babysitting because I enjoy creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment where kids can feel cared forsimilar to the experience I had growing up with my own nanny.

What experience do you have?

While I dont yet have formal paid babysitting experience, I have spent a lot of time caring for my nieces, nephews, and cousins. My responsibilities have included changing diapers, feeding, helping with homework, picking them up from school, bathing them, and preparing simple meals. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in providing attentive and reliable care.

What skills and training do you have?

Through caring for children in my family, Ive developed patience, responsibility, and strong multitasking skills. Im dependable, attentive to detail, and good at keeping kids engaged and safe. I also had the chance to learn from my own nanny growing up, which gave me valuable insight into how to balance structure and fun when caring for children.
