My name is Rhonda and I am the youngest of 9. I dont have children of my own but am the aunt and great aunt of more than 40and 2nd mom and godmother to more than I can count. I couldnt add up the exact number of years Ive spent getting paid for child carebut I have never been an official nanny or child care provider. Im the one in my family who gets called to babysit and keep kids while the parents go out for the night, the weekendor the 2 week adult-only vacation. My mother would tell you I may not be a biological mom, but Ive raised more than mostand then shed add that shes never met a child or a dog who didnt like Rhonda.
Professionally, I was a speech therapist in both clinical and public school settings for about 10 years. Ive been a part-time house and pet sitter for the last 20 yearsfor family, friends and personal referralsbut I do miss working with children and am hoping to find a family or two to build relationships with and provide child care on a consistent and ongoing basis. At this time, I prefer part-time only.
