Supporting young people interacting with their world in meaningful ways that foster learning and growth is one of my favorite things! My approach is centered around mutual respect, fun, emotional literacy, continuous learning, and wellness/safety. I’ve worked with children and teens at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, taught at City of Bridges High School, and worked with various camps and after school programs, in addition to providing childcare. I have several years of experience with children and teens who have special needs or are on the autism spectrum. I love cooking and can support specific dietary or wellness needs. I can keep kids engaged with crafts, adventures, play, good books, and homework help. I was homeschooled/unschooled and have experience working with families who choose alternative education as well as those with a more traditional path. I also provide private tutoring in reading and writing, and am currently in training to be a dyslexia educator.
Additionally, I’m a performer, history and plant nerd, and community organizer.
