I worked with the early childhood population for the past decade. I started as a floater in a daycare center, and now I am an Assistant Director. Working with children, I learned that they all bring something unique to the classroom such as a different language, creativity or a learning style. I enjoy working with teachers to ensure that everyone feels included and accepted. One of my favorite quote is “As educators, we must consider ways to ensure that our experiences do not generate bias in our classrooms.” This means including stories and visuals of different backgrounds in lesson plans and through out the classroom environment. Also, accepting children how they are without judging their beliefs and promote working together as a community.

Aside from working I enjoy attending the gym and living a healthy lifestyle. I’m family-oriented, I love to serve and host gatherings. I’m passionate about caring for the environment and ensuring that those around me recycle, clean their areas and take care of their surroundings as much as possible.
