Hi! My name is Amanda Kohut, I am 27 years old and I have been babysitting and nannying for over a decade now. I have watched children from as young as a few months old up to teens. Most of my families I have stayed with long term, up to 3 years at most while in grad school out of state. I still keep in touch with most of my families, and even fly out to visit because we have grown so close. In all cases I have proven to be a valuable asset to the family, and even coined the best nanny weve ever had! by many kiddos .

My approach to child care prioritizes imaginative play, time in nature, and supporting creativity. My ideal morning would start with a similar morning routine that they are already familiar with: waking up, getting ready for the day, and eating a healthy breakfast. After that transitioning through different forms of play that theyre excited about. Id give them some options that could include: nature walks to find flowers, building a castle, playing restaurant/grocery store, making a craft that Ive found online, baking something, reading stories etc. Of course attention spans are often limited in little ones so its likely we would rotate through a few forms of play until lunch time!

Most importantly I value upholding the same lifestyle that the parents have established so I do not find myself making any decisions or participating in activities that you guys wouldnt make. Im here to keep your children safe, healthy, and happy by upholding the parenting choices that youve already made. During the week I am a physical therapist in Newtown Square. So although not a teacher, I am familiar with development milestones from a musculoskeletal component. I have worked closely with children throughout clinical rotations in grad school, and currently still treat adolescents. Additionally, my job requires I stay up to date on child abuse clearances and CPR/AED first aid training, both of which I have attached copies of. I have a reliable vehicle 2024 Mazda Cx-5 if the situation arises where we need to drive somewhere.
