Why I Love Being a Sitter
Hi, Im Shima! Babysitting is something I truly enjoynot just as a job, but as a meaningful way to connect with kids, support families, and bring warmth and fun into a childs day. I love seeing the world through their eyes, finding creative ways to keep them engaged, and making everyday moments special, whether its through play, learning, or simply being present with them.

My Experience
Infants (4+ months): I recently cared for a 4-month-old, helping with bottle prep, diaper changes, tummy time, naps, and creating a calm, comforting routine.
Toddlers (13 years): I currently babysit a curious and sweet 2-year-old named Antonin in the Lower East Side. I support his play, snack time, park outings, and nap schedule.

Preschoolers (35 years): Ive looked after a 4-year-old, supporting dinner and bedtime routines with books, calm conversation, and gentle transitions. During the day, we engaged in imaginative play like role-playing games, building with Legos, and storytellingactivities that helped spark creativity while keeping things fun and structured. Elementary-Age Kids (69 years): Ive also worked with 8-year-old twins, helping with homework, reading, and winding down after school. I love supporting this age group with structure and encouragement. Past Experience Abroad: While earning my Masters in Spain, I babysat a 5-year-old girl and her 11-year-old brother, helping them practice English through music, storytelling, and games.

Im also fluent in English and enjoy supporting learning through play and conversation. Whether Im caring for one child or managing the dynamic of siblings, I stay calm, engaged, and adaptable.

Im currently available on weekends and weekday mornings. Im in the process of transitioning into a full-time role and would love to babysit during this timeI find it genuinely fulfilling and joyful.
