I love being a sitter because I love nurturing and building up the courage of children so they can grow to have a fulfilling life. While I do not have formal experience with being a sitter, I grew up being a major role in taking care of my younger sister doing tasks such as making her food, asking open-ended questions to allow her to think for herself rather than say what she thinks I want to hear, engaging in age-appropriate physical activities, daily reading time, and offering my ears when she needed to talk about anything. I am very patient and believe in allowing children to feel their emotions as long as it doesn’t harm themselves or others at which point I’ll intervene and help them process why they feel the way they feel. I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to help you.
