Rosemary P.

My name is Rosemary, and I’m currently a Peace Corps Volunteer in Myanmar, returning to NYC in late March 2020. I’ve been babysitting for over 15 years. I started caring for children when I was 12 years old during church services in Indianapolis. Now, I’m a middle school English teacher in Myanmar, and I love every minute of engaging with my students to expand their imaginations and perspectives. When I’m not teaching, I’m in my neighborhood, chatting with my neighbors and playing with the neighbor kids, be it “Go Fish!” or street soccer.

A little about my interests & work history: I graduated from Georgetown University in 2015 with a B.S. in International Affairs. I spent 2 years at Deutsche Bank on Wall Street. I left banking to be a volunteer teacher, first in Chile and now in Myanmar. I’m starting law school in fall 2020, hoping to advocate for children’s rights internationally as a human rights lawyer.
