I love being a sitter because of one reason: my family. I grew up in a very big extended family – I was one of 4 in my immediate family with a total of 30 first cousins. Nonetheless, I loved growing up in a mix of people at various ages in their lives. This sense of support and care in this family led me to babysitting. I realized early on that I had a knack for babysitting because I was taught how to take care of kids at different ages. Whether it was babysitting a family friends’ infant while the parents went out for date night or babysitting 6 kids all under the age of 10 while the parents went to a cocktail party, I’ve had countless experiences in multitasking and aiding families. Therefore, I developed a strong sense of support and care within myself that I utilize when helping a family.
