Hello, my name is Mia and I have been working with children for 6 years. Originally from Atlanta, GA, I am now residing in NYC to help my sister and her elementary school children with remote schooling. I am currently a sophomore at Bard College but decided to take a gap year. I am really interested in film photography and psychology.

I have worked as a babysitter, camp counselor, and private tutor for kids ages 1-14 years old.
My work as a counselor for Camp Juliette Low (an all girls overnight summer camp in North Georgia) informed me on the importance of patience, integrity, inclusivity, and enthusiasm. With an 8 week training program spanning 2 years, I was able to learn how to engage campers in outdoor skills and art along with teaching them how to become responsible, imaginative, and confident girls.

I now work as a babysitter and private tutor for students who are currently doing online school. Since leading a remote school pod group, I understand the importance of reducing the amount of screen time outside of school and have found a lot of creative screen free activities (indoor and outdoor).

I am a committed, patient, and hard working individual who also loves to be creative and have fun!
