My name is Margherita Ghisi, Im Italian and Im 25 years old. I am bilingual: first language is Italian and second language is English. I moved from Milan and am now studying acting in NYC. I love being around kids, I have always had a huge maternal instinct considering that Ive helped raise my two younger sisters since I was a kid myself. I started working as a nanny/babysitter when I was 19 years old, and I took care of 2 children (9 year old and 7 year old) as well as an infant of 6 months. My next employment was with a 2 child family; a 5 year old and a 2 year old. After which I moved to London to study and I babysat a 3 year old girl. I moved back to Italy after 8 months and I took care of a 4 month old baby. A lot of people would rather work as a server or choose other easier jobs; kids are difficult, its true, they require commitment, dedication, responsibility and love. I love working with kids because of those things! Each child that I have cared for has taught me something and I love learning from them and I can only hope they can learn from me too! The love that you give and receive from kids is precious. I am responsible and respectful pertaining to the house rules and the expectations of each family regarding the education of the child. Im empathic, friendly, gentle, but firm when needed. I care a lot about kids and I develop an emotional attachment, which is a quality I believe every nanny/babysitter should have. If the family requires a specific certification, I would also be more than happy to get it.
Lastly, I just want to say that I am very open to dialogue, I always want to create an environment where the family can feel free to correct me and communicate their spesific needs especially regarding their child. I truly want to be able help out in hopes that the parents will find peace and serenity when their child is under my care.
