Hi there! I am a senior at Fordham University at Lincoln Center pursuing a B.A. in anthropology. I have worked in child care for several years both in and outside of New York City. In the summer of 2016, I was the lead Bunk Counselor and an Arts and Crafts Teacher at the all girls sleep away camp (Camp Timber Tops). I have also worked as a Classroom/Teacher Assistant and Youth Tutor at the after school program at Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center in the Upper West Side. I have experience with children of all age ranges and have been working as a babysitter off and on since I was a teenager. I also have a background with 1 on 1 tutoring in Math, Reading and Writing. I am certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED courses. My classroom experience has also trained me how to respond to difficult behavioral situations and successfully and peacefully diffuse conflicts. I am hoping that my background in Anthropology can lead me to a future in both Education and The Arts. Additional academic experience includes Co-Authoring of the CEFR based curriculum for Oneida (a standardized guideline used to teach and reserve the endangered Oneida language and culture) and designing and constructing a classroom for an independent boarding school (The Darrow School) that represented an ideal environment for nontraditional learners. Other interests include music, poetry, and visual arts. I look forward to meeting you and your family!
