Hello! My name is Lake and I’m a college student with a passion for childcare. I’ve been babysitting, tutoring, and teaching children’s classes for five years. In this time, I’ve learnt that I love collaborating with parents to create a fun, productive, and stress-free environment for kids! I am studying theatre and neuroscience, which each give me skills for childcare. I have extensive experience in teaching acting, improv, theatre and dance classes to kids of all ages; and my neuroscience knowledge allows me to understand how to most effectively communicate with children. I also have experience working with disabled and neurodivergent children; I won a community contribution award for creating and leading crafting classes for people on the spectrum. I have tutored and worked with many children who have ADHD, ASD, and/or unique needs. I also have experience cooking for kids, and can speak fluent Hebrew and intermediate ASL.
