Hi! My name is Keelie, and I’ve been babysitting/nannying for years! My babysitting experience began in middle school when I cared for my special needs neighbor a few days a week after school. Once entering high school, I was a full time nanny for a 3 week old boy-I feel like I raised him as I was his nanny for the following 5 years! While nannying him, I was simultaneously babysitting for a family with 4 kids whom I’m still in contact with years later! After graduating college, I moved to Germany where I was a live-in Au Pair for a family of four kids. My duties with this family included getting the kids ready and taking them to school, planning and implementing after school activities (this family was a no-screen family, so we spent lots of time playing outside, making crafts, baking, creating games, and using our imaginations), and cleaning up after dinner and getting them ready for bed. Although I was a live-in nanny, I still had occasional overnight babysitting responsibilities. Upon returning to the United States, I continue to occasionally babysit for some of my former special needs students from a school in which I used to work! I’m moving up to New York from Atlanta, Georgia. I’m looking for a full time summer job leading into a part-time nannying position once school starts as I will be attending a graduate program at NYU starting in September. I love to be invested in my nanny families if you’ll let me! I’m always willing to give an extra helping hand and go out of my way to assist with household duties.
