My name is Barbara. I have worked as a nanny for over eight years. I speak three languages Portuguese, English, and Spanish. I studied Arts and Literature in college. I love teaching the kids who I take care of new languages as well as dead in books for them. I have experience with kids from ages three to high-school teenagers. In my last employment, I took care of four kids: the youngest of them was four years old at the time of my arrival. I arrived in the US as an au pair and am more than happy to offer contact to any parents who want to with my previous host family, who I still adore and am in touch with. As an au pair, I know that parents schedules are always unpredictable and we, nannies, need to be understanding and flexible. These are qualities that I am certain to possess. I am also very patient, clean, and love pets. In my previous jobs, I would cook, do laundry, and take the kids to school as well as help them with homework, and later on virtual learning due to Covid 19.
