Hi! My name is Avery. I am 19 years old and currently attend Washington University in St. Louis. I have always loved kids and always tried during my summers to do things that involved being with kids. I was a sleep away camp counselor for two years as well as a basketball camp counselor. I also babysat numerous kids throughout high school. Additionally, starting in high school and continuing into college, I have been part of Best Buddies. Best Buddies is an organization that pairs high school and college students with other students who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
