Hello!
My name is Anastasia (she/her), and I am a New Yorker, originally from Uruguay. I am a Master’s level social work student at Columbia University and an experienced nanny, looking for a wonderful family to work with part-time.
My work experience has prepared me to look after children of all ages and backgrounds by incorporating empathy, nurturance, and a lot of fun!

While studying psychology at Bard College I worked as a music teacher at a nursery for children ages 2-4. In that role, I learned the importance of encouraging toddlers to explore the world that they are so excited about by organizing small stations for sensory play and teaching them fun ways to complete tasks (clean-up time). Moreover, I was able to practice conflict resolution with children, as well as tantrum management.

After graduating, I worked as an au pair for a family in London with two children (1yr. old and 5 years old). In that position, I was asked to work with the children in Spanish, my first language, and learned how to best work with siblings that have different needs.

Currently, I am a therapist in training, a musician, and a lifelong learner!
I truly believe that my knowledge of childhood development, academic studies, and years of experience make me a good candidate.
