I think what is most rewarding about caring for children is fostering relationships with them and their families. I cherish the moments where I can help families support a child’s growth and become an integral part of their development. My primary goal with discipline is keeping a child safe, both physically and emotionally, while encouraging them to behave respectfully. I have worked in a daycare with children ages 2-5 as a co-teacher, I had the responsibility and opportunity to teach the days of the week in both English and Spanish as well as enrich the kids educational development by instructing hands on activities and classroom playtime. I have completed a 5 hour training in Foundations in Health and Safety from the Office of Children and Family Services; Nutrition and Health Needs of Infants and Children
