In my previous experience, I’ve loved being a babysitter simply because I love children, and children love me. I like seeing them grow, become their own person, and develop their likes and dislikes, and would love to be part of that journey.
I don’t have any paid experience, but as the oldest cousin in my family, I have experience dealing with children younger than me and helping with their care, both accompanied and alone.
I am a very patient, loving, firm, and understanding person. Whenever I’ve dealt with a misbehaving child, I’ve been able to de-escalate the behavior and help them understand why what they did was wrong. On the other hand, I give out praise for a job well done.
I also worked as a volunteer for the Cat Adoption Center in PetSmart, and have been working for the disabilities department of my university for the past 2 years.
